Phan: Late Night Walk

It was late, the stars just beginning to shine in the deep blue of the sky and their fingers were intertwined as they swung their joined hands lightly between them. Their breathes came out in puffs of white smoke that vanished before their eyes and the wind was cold against their skin, nipping playfully at their cheeks and pinching their noses to make them red.

Dan tugged his hat down more to cover his ears, no longer carrying about having hat hair if he lost his ears to the cold. He glanced towards Phil who had his scarf covering his nose and his blue eyes were bright against his dark lashes and pale skin. Dan nudged him and Phil turned to look at him, his eyes creasing as he smiled behind his scarf. Dan laughed.

Phil rolled his eyes and pulled Dan toward one of the park benches up ahead, sitting them down and drawing Dan closer to him to keep him warm. Dan rested his head against Phil’s shoulder and sighed in contentment as he gazed up into his friend’s eyes, reaching up to move the scarf down slightly so he could kiss the end of Phil’s nose.

“I love you, you know,” he murmured and Phil nuzzled his nose against Dan’s as he breathed back, “I know. I love you too.”
